The main characteristics of the works from the Form III by Jankulovski are:
Monochromatic – because he uses only one color – the black
Modularity – because the dimensions are thought out and always in a certain ratio with each other
Multiplicity – because the images are multiplied and new works are created
Minimalism – because the works, concept and context of his artwork are achieved by minimum elements... which is actually the hardest thing to do, but MICKO’s paintings exposed in this exhibition are result of 50 years artistic production!

Exhibition II  PAINTINGS, DRAWINGS, and PRINTS from the collection of “OSTEN MUSEUM”

The cycle of series of paintings (acrylic on canvas) started with the series "Leonardo's Circles I" (created in 2017, polyptych of 11 paintings acrylic in canvas, 195 x 2145 cm | 195 x 195 cm / each) – the holder of the highest award for lifetime achievement Lorenzo il Magnifico at the international event for contemporary art Florence Biennale 2019 with the Ars Ingenium: "Toward Leonardo da Vinci’s Legacy of Similitude and Invention " - on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of his death. The artist's work is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's study of water in which he describes the movement of concentric circles as waterfalls from a certain height that never interfering with each other. MICKO Mice Jankulovski - Exhibition of drawings from ‘70s

International exhibition "Abstraction at Avantgarde" was held in St. Petersburg at the Sergey Kuryokhin Center for Contemporary Art from 2 Nov - 13 Dec 2020. The project explores the difference between abstract and non-abstract, and their manifestations in the digital art of new media. The exhibition includes an exposition that combines the work of artists of different generations, a series of lectures, a costumed avant-garde performance, a performance monodrama and video art. The main idea of ​​the exhibition is reflection on the difference between the abstract and the non-objective. The exposition will present the works of Vladimir Sterligov, Tatyana Glebova, Sergey Spitsyn, Pavel Kondratiev, Vladimir Volkov, Moscow artists - the avant-garde artists of the second wave - Vladimir Nemukhin, Lidia Masterkova, Yuri Zlotnikov, Eduard Shteinberg, Lev Nusberg and other living people.
Macedonian artist MICKO Mice Jankulovski will perform with a performance, he will create an abstract painting in real time. Video works and video installations of media artists Vasily Shumov, Maxim Svishchev, a video presentation of Macedonian artists by Maja Chankulovska (curator from the National Gallery of Macedonia), etc. will be shown. Together with Russian artists, works by artists from Northern Macedonia, Hungary and Estonia will be presented. Thus, the exhibition unites the ideological heirs of Kazimir Severinovich Malevich and discovers various paths of development of the abstract and non-objective in contemporary art. The young generation of artists and musicians working and experimenting in the field of abstract concepts needs dialogue and inspiration for their projects in the future.

#### TRANSCODED STRUCTURES (with Olga Tobreluts)

The exhibition “Transcoded Structures – Before and after the Media in Abstraction” of Mice Jankulovski and Olga Tobreluts considers the historical change in creating a painting. The present problematic approach toward painting relates to art historical stereotypes. As one of the most traditional genres it refers to the long tradition of two-dimensional expression, with its relation to express reality, vision, light and emotion within the context of references.

#### FORM 3

In the exhibition Forms in Black, Jankulovski is presenting comprehensive conceptual series of basic forms painted on canvas. The basic forms (circle, squere, triangle) are systematically applied to large square canvases with only one color - black. Forms are created by making patterns of spreads on the thick layer of black paint. An additional impression of positive/negative is achieved depending on whether the spreads are applied to the background or in the forms themselves. These series of works are made by the multiplication of the forms within the canvases, as well as by the multiplication of the canvases, resulting in large conceptual works. Light is an integral part of Jankulovski’s works.
